How to generate a DxDiag to help diagnose tech and computer problems

The support team might need you to attach a DxDiag to help diagnose a variety of problems such as crashing issues, performance issues, slowness etc...  

 

How to generate a DxDiag

  1. On Windows, select Start and enter “dxdiag” into the search box on the taskbar. Select dxdiag from the results.
  2. In the tool, click on 'Save All Information' and wait a few seconds
  3. Save the file as a 'Text File (*.txt)' on your desktop
  4. When submitting a request, click on "Add files" to attach the DxDiag to your support request
