The Microsoft Flight Simulator app's launcher will install on the drive set by default—usually, the C: drive.

Once you launch the sim for the first time, you'll have the choice to select the Install Packages Path on any drive of your choice—for instance the D: drive.

To avoid issues down the line, we recommend keeping the launcher on the drive set by default.

First, ensure you have the US English Language Pack installed for Apps & Websites. If you install MSFS without this pack, the install will hang until a message will display that this pack is required.
