BOXED VERSION

Please insert Disc 1. Disc 1 needs to be inserted to launch Microsoft Flight Simulator to check the status of your activation.

XBOX LIVE OUTAGE

Intermittent connectivity issues with Xbox Live can cause this error.

To check Xbox Live Status, visit https://support.xbox.com/en-US/xbox-live-status

THE KEY IS INVALID

If you purchased your key from a retailer, it is possible they sent you the code inside the Boxed Version edition without sending you the discs or they sold a promotional code that has now expired. Please contact your retailer for an exchange or a refund.

POOR WIFI OR NO INTERNET CONNECTION
  • You must be connected to the internet in order to proceed with the installation.
  • If you're using Wi-Fi, switch to an LTE or wired connection. This will help ensure that you are on a stable internet connection throughout the download and installation process.

INCORRECT TIME AND LOCATION SETTINGS

Make sure that the Time & Language settings of your PC are correctly set up. Incorrect Time & Location settings can prevent you from signing-in.

These settings must match the location and timezone of the Microsoft account used to subscribe to Game Pass or to purchase Microsoft Flight Simulator. Incorrect time and location settings will prevent Game Pass and Xbox Network to authenticate your content.

  • Select Start , then select Settings > Time & Language.
  • Select Date & time to verify your time settings and select Region to check your location.

    Remove-Item -Path "HKLM:\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\GamingServicesNet" -recurse
  4. Restart your device.
  5. Right-click the Start button in the lower-left corner of the main screen, and then select Windows PowerShell (Admin).
  6. In the Administrator: Windows PowerShell screen, type the following command and press Enter:
    start ms-windows-store://pdp/?productid=9MWPM2CQNLHN
  7. Install the app on that page, and then select Yes when you receive the User Account Control (UAC) prompt.
  8. Try to install or launch the game again.

DIGITAL OWNERSHIP

Note: Not all versions come with a separate entitlement for Digital Ownership. If Digital Ownership doesn't appear in your library, you can skip that step.

(Re)install Digital Ownership

Make sure all the updates in the Microsoft Store are installed, including Digital Ownership and your version of Microsoft Flight Simulator and the associated bundle.

In the top right-hand side corner of the Microsoft Store, click on the Arrow icon or the three-dot menu Downloads and updates. Then click "Get updates" > Update all
