How to troubleshoot missing aircraft from the hangar/broken aircraft (Microsoft Version)

Follow

If you have trouble installing ALL additional content, see: "Only 2 aircraft in the hangar" - How to install additional content? (First installation or reinstallation)

If you're suddenly missing ALL aircraft, see: Missing Deluxe or Deluxe Premium / DLC content - Microsoft Store

If you're unable to download and install ONE aircraft in particular or if you're suddenly missing ONE or TWO aircraft in the hangar but the packages are correctly installed you do not need to reinstall the game fully, please do the following:

DOWNLOAD & INSTALLATION ISSUE - CONFLICTS

Outdated community content can prevent the official packages to appear in-game. Before trying anything else, delete any Community content such as liveries and add-ons that could conflict with the Official Package for the missing or broken aircraft.

1. Close Microsoft Flight Simulator

2. Go to the "Community" folder located by default here:

C:\Users\your_username\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.FlightSimulator_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache\Packages\Community

NOTE: If you have installed the packages on a different drive look inside your custom folder (for example D:\MSFS)

3. Search for the package folder corresponding to the content (for example "asobo-aircraft-a320-neo")

4. Delete the package

5. Relaunch Microsoft Flight Simulator

6. Go to Content Manager, and download the official content.

DOWNLOAD & INSTALLATION ISSUE - DELETE THE OFFICIAL PACKAGE FOLDER

If removing add-ons didn't fix the issue or if you haven't installed any community content, delete the official package folder instead.

1. Close Microsoft Flight Simulator

2. Go to the "One Store" folder located by default here:

C:\Users\your_username\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.FlightSimulator_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache\Packages\Official\OneStore

NOTE: If you have installed the packages on a different drive look inside your custom folder (for example D:\MSFS)

3. Search for the package folder corresponding to the content that is missing or broken (for example "asobo-aircraft-a320-neo")

4. Delete the package

5. Relaunch Microsoft Flight Simulator

6. Go to Content Manager.

You should now be able to (re)download your content. For more information about the Content Manager, check our guide: How to install additional content?
