How to repair or uninstall Microsoft Flight Simulator via the Xbox app

HOW TO REPAIR MICROSOFT FLIGHT SIMULATOR

  1. Open the Xbox app
  2. Sign in with your Microsoft account
  3. In My Library, search for Microsoft Flight Simulator or mouse over the Microsoft Flight Simulator icon in the "installed" menu
  4. Click on the 3 dots menu then select ManageRepair_in_Xbox_App.png
  5. Click on the Files tab then click on Verify And Repair Verify_and_Repair_in_Xbox_App_.png
  6. Confirm your choice and wait until the message "Ready to play!" appears.

 

HOW TO UNINSTALL MICROSOFT FLIGHT SIMULATOR

  1. Open the Xbox app
  2. Sign in with your Microsoft account
  3. In My Library, search for Microsoft Flight Simulator or mouse over the Microsoft Flight Simulator icon in the "installed" menu
  4. Click on the 3 dots menu then select Manage
  5. Click Uninstall Game, then select Yes when prompted "Are you sure?"Uninstall_in_Xbox_App_.png

 

Warning: Once uninstalled, make sure that all the packages (including Community packages) are deleted. The default package installation location is:

C:\Users\Username\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.FlightSimulator_8wekyb3d8bbwe

If you have installed the packages in a custom folder, search for that folder instead. Move any leftover files or folders to the Recycle Bin.

 

DO A CLEAN INSTALL OF MICROSOFT FLIGHT SIMULATOR

You can reinstall the sim via the Xbox app.
