How to fix packages showing as "not installed" in the content manager

Follow

MISSING AIRCRAFT - PACKAGES SHOW AS "NOT INSTALLED"

If the packages are correctly nested in the installation folder but the Content Manager cannot find them/shows the packages as "Not installed" please do the following:

  1. Close Microsoft Flight Simulator
  2. Locate the Content.xml file that is located by default here:
    • Microsoft Store version
      C:\Users\YourUsername\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.FlightSimulator_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache

      Steam version:
      C:\Users\YourUsername\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft Flight Simulator
  3. Delete Content.xml
  4. Relaunch Microsoft Flight Simulator

The Content.xml file will rebuild and the packages will now appear in the Content Manager as "Installed."
