If the payment pop-up is blank (plain white or plain grey box or black box with 3 dots), toggle the "Purchase sign-in" feature in the Xbox app and the Microsoft Store.
SIGN OUT AND SIGN IN AGAIN
- Sign out of the Xbox app and the Microsoft Store
- Sign in again with the email used to play Microsoft Flight Simulator.
UPDATE YOUR INTERNET TLS SETTINGS
- Select the Windows icon to open the Start menu and search for Run.
- Enter inetcpl.cpl into the Run dialog box and press OK.
- Select the Advanced tab and scroll to the bottom.
- Inspect the Use TLS settings:
- Ensure that Use TLS 1.0 and Use TLS 1.1 are unchecked.
- Ensure that Use TLS 1.2 and Use TLS 1.3 are checked.
- Note: Your settings may say "Use TLS 1.3 (experimental)". That's fine; just ensure that it's checked.
- Press OK to save your settings.
REMOVE YOUR PIN
If you are prompted to enter your PIN before making a purchase, remove your PIN under "Accounts > Sign-in options" and try again. If the payment is successful you can Reset or change your PIN.
SETTINGS
XBOX APP
- Launch the Xbox app
- Click on your gamertag
- Go to Settings > Accounts
- Scroll down and toggle "I want to buy without a password, for faster checkout" ON and enter your password.
- If the option is already ON, toggle it off and on to refresh your choice.
MICROSOFT STORE
- Open the Microsoft Store
- Click on your profile then Settings
- Toggle "When I buy from Microsoft Store, don't ask for my password."
- If the option is already ON, toggle it off and on to refresh your choice.
VPN OR IP PROXY OR ENCRYPTED DNS
Disable any software or 3rd party application that may hide or change your IP or DNS settings.
SEND FEEDBACK TO MICROSOFT
Please try making the purchase again, then submit your feedback (ideally immediately after the issue occurs) via the “Report a problem” button in the Feedback Hub on Windows (this gathers some additional telemetry/logs from the PC).
The Feedback Hub is installed by default on Windows 10/11. You can find it, type“Feedback Hub” in the search bar.
