Refund & Cancellations


To request a refund or a cancellation we invite you to contact the retailer you purchased your copy of Microsoft Flight Simulator from. 



Cancel a pre-order

Here is how to cancel a pre-order on the Microsoft store:

You can cancel one or more items in a Microsoft Store order or pre-order before you're charged or before the item has shipped.

  • Go to your Order history and find the order or pre-order.

  • Select Cancel item next to the item you want to cancel. If you don't see this option, you've already been charged for the item, but you can request an exchange or refund.

  • Select the check box next to the item and then select the Cancel item button.

  • Check your inbox for an email confirming the order was canceled. If you don't see the confirmation email in your inbox after a few minutes, check your spam or junk mail folder.

To request a refund, click on the link below and follow the flow. Please make sure to sign-in with the account you made the purchase with.

Cancel a pre-order

Here is Steam's pre-order refunds policy:

You may refund your pre-order any time prior to the release of the game.

If the pre-order title was purchased more than 3 months ago, you may not be able to refund back to your original payment method. However, you may still request a credit to your Steam wallet.

Valve will, upon request via, issue a refund for any title that is requested within 14 days of purchase and has been played for less than 2 hours. Even if you fall outside of the refund rules we've described, you can submit a request and we'll take a look at it.
